Henry's Kitchen was brought in to prepare hot, home-style meals for distribution to those affected by the tornadoes.  Henry's Kitchen has the capacity of producing 10,000 meals per day.  May 2003 Tornado -- Kansas City, Kansas
Henry's kitchen, built in 2000, contains three commercial tilt skillets, convection ovens and hot plates, an industrial sized mixer, refrigerator and freezer.  Designed to help meet the needs of preparing the more than 500,000 meals provided to disaster victims and workers each year.  Henry's Kitchen, based in St. Joseph, Missouri, can be rapidly deployed to any location in the continental United States and is ready to prepare meals within two hours. The tornado passing through Kansas City was rated as category F4.  Category F4 tornadoes are considered Devestating Tornadoes with wind speeds ranging from 207 to 260 miles per hour.  Well-constructed houses are leveled, structures are blown off weak foundations, and cars and other large objects are thrown about. May 2003 Tornado -- Kansas City, Kansas

This is all that remains of Kevin McQuitty's home.  He and his wife were standing on the front porch as the tornado crested the ravine across from their home.  They ran to the home of a neighbor and managed to make it to the basement just as the tornado hit.  May 2003 Tornado -- Kansas City, Kansas
